    Day 1MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS - AIT BEN HADDOU - DADES VALLEY

     Your 5 days Sahara desert tour from Marrakech with a pick-up at 8:00 am from your riad or wherever you’re staying. We’ll hit the road and start our scenic journey through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Keep your eyes peeled for stunning views as we make our way to the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, sitting way up high at 2,260 meters (7,415 feet) above sea level.

    Along the way, we’ll stop at charming Berber villages to soak up the local vibes and landscapes – it’s a chance to dive into the culture and see some beautiful sights.

    Our next stop is the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient village famous for its cool Moroccan-style buildings. You might recognize it from movies! Take your time to wander through its narrow streets and soak in the history.

    After a tasty lunch break, we’ll head further south along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” We’ll cruise through interesting towns like Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the pretty Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. And in the afternoon, we’ll reach the Dades Valley, where you’ll get to check out the cool “monkey fingers” rock formations – they’re seriously impressive!

    Then, it’s time to relax and unwind at a cozy hotel in the Dades Valley. Enjoy the peace and quiet as you gear up for more adventures in the days ahead.

    Day 2DADES VALLEY - TINGHIR OASIS - TODGHA GORGE - MERZOUGA DESERT

    We begin the second day of our 5 day Sahara desert tour from Marrakech with a breakfast to get us going. After breakfast, we’ll head towards Tineghir, stopping at pretty spots along the way where we can see Berber villages surrounded by palm trees.

    One of the coolest things we’ll see is the Todgha Gorge, a big canyon that’s 300 meters high. We’ll take a relaxed walk around it, admiring its beauty before heading to the Merzouga desert.

    When we get to Merzouga desert in the afternoon, get ready for a fun adventure! We’ll ride on camels through the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We’ll stop on a big dune to watch the sunset – it’s so pretty! Then, we’ll ride to the desert camp where we’ll be welcomed with mint tea.

    In the evening, we’ll enjoy a tasty Moroccan dinner with lots of delicious local food. After dinner, we’ll gather around a campfire with our Berber friends. They’ll play drums and tell stories under the stars – it’s really cool!

    You’ll sleep in a comfy tent at the luxury desert camp, surrounded by the peaceful desert. It’s gonna be a great night!

    Day 3FULL DAY TO EXPLORE THE SAHARA DESERT

    Wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise from the closest dune. After a tasty breakfast at the camp, we’ll begin our adventure in the Merzouga desert. Our 4×4 will take us to meet the Berber Nomads living behind the dunes. Learn about their lifestyle and culture as they survive in this remote area. We’ll also visit the deserted village of Miffis, enjoying Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and maybe see the Lake of Birds if it’s full of water.

    After lunch, we’ll head to your Riad for check-in and some free time. Take a swim or stroll to the nearby dunes. Dinner will be served in the evening, and you’ll spend the night at your Riad. You can also choose to stay another night at traditional desert camp if you’d like.

    Day 4MERZOUGA DESERT - RISSANI - DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE

    On the fourth day, we’ll make our way to Ouarzazate, with our first stop in Tafilalet’s big palm grove and its authentic market. This place used to be the main city for the “Alaouite” sultans.

    Our journey takes us through the breathtaking anti-Atlas mountains, where we’ll catch stunning views of the rocky desert. We’ll pass through Alnif, famous for its Henna groves, and N’kob, a lush green oasis. Then, we’ll head to Agdz, a small town on the edges of the Draa Valley, which is the longest valley in Morocco.

    Finally, we’ll reach Ouarzazate, where we’ll spend the night at Riad. It’s been an amazing journey through beautiful landscapes!

    Day 5OUARZAZATE - TELOUET KASBAH - MARRAKECH

    Today, our journey begins with a delicious breakfast before we explore Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa and a gateway to the Sahara desert. This city boasts the largest studio in Africa, the famous Atlas Studios, and the historic Taourirt Kasbah.

    Continuing on, we travel to vibrant Marrakech, passing through the majestic Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll see picturesque Berber villages nestled in the mountainside, with a stop to admire the Kasbah of Telouet.

    The 5-day desert tour offered a fantastic opportunity to explore some of Morocco’s most breathtaking landscapes. From the dramatic gorges of the Atlas Mountains to the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert, the scenery was simply stunning. While the tour was well-organized overall, there were a few minor hiccups along the way, such as delays in transportation.
