2 Days in Morocco

Day 1MARRAKECH - HIGH ATLAS - AIT BEN HADDOU - DADES VALLEY - MERZOUGA

 
First day of our 2 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, After picking you up from your accommodation in Marrakech, we head to Ait Benhaddou across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka route (2260 m in altitude). We will make a visit to the impressive Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, followed by a stop for lunch in a local restaurant. Our next stop will be Ouarzazate, near the Atlas film studios, to get a great photo opportunity before going downtown to enjoy the marvelous views of Taourirt Kasbah, Rose Valley, Boumalne Dades, and Dades Valley. Afterwards, our 2 days desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga continues to Todgha Gorges via Tinghir. Along the way, we will make brief stops to take photos and take in the wonderful scenery. Admiring the panoramic views of Todra Gorges Canyons, we pass through Tinejdad and Erfoud to reach our hotel in the Merzouga desert. Later we will experience camel trekking over the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset to reach a Berber desert camp in the middle of the dunes for a dinner and overnight in a traditional desert camp.

Day 2MERZOUGA - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

In the early morning, we will admire the spectacular sunrise over the golden dunes. Following breakfast, we will ride our camels or 4×4 to arrive in the town of Merzouga and drive back to Marrakech. We will make a stop to enjoy a nice lunch before continuing our way back to the red city via a scenic route packed with beautiful palm groves and ancient villages.

Later, our 2 days desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga will be concluded by getting in Marrakech and dropping you off at your hotel in Marrakesh.

Although only twoi days, the Marrakech to Merzouga tour packed a punch with its stunning scenery and immersive experiences. The drive through the mountains was scenic, and the stops at Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate were insightful. Camel trekking in the Sahara was a highlight, and watching the sunset over the dunes was pure magic. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food exceeded expectations.
