After breakfast, we’ll set off towards Tineghir, making stops at beautiful viewpoints that offer glimpses of charming Berber villages nestled among lush palm tree-filled oases. One of the highlights along our route is the impressive Toudgha Gorge, a majestic canyon soaring 300 meters high. We’ll take a leisurely walk beneath the towering walls of this gorge, marveling at its natural beauty before continuing our journey towards the Merzouga desert.
Upon reaching Merzouga in the afternoon, you’ll have an exhilarating experience as we start a camel trek across the expansive Erg Chebbi dunes. As we traverse the golden sands, we’ll pause on a high dune to witness a stunning sunset painting the desert sky with breathtaking colors. The peacefulness of this moment is truly unforgettable. After sunset, we’ll continue our camel ride to the campsite, where a warm reception awaits with traditional mint tea. Wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise from the closest dune. After a tasty breakfast at the camp, we’ll begin our adventure in the Merzouga desert. Our trusty 4×4 SUV will take us to meet the Berber Nomads living behind the dunes. Learn about their lifestyle and culture as they survive in this remote area. We’ll also visit the deserted village of Miffis, enjoy Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and maybe see the Lake of Birds if it’s full.
After lunch, we’ll head to your Riad for check-in and some free time. Take a swim or stroll to the nearby dunes. Dinner will be served in the evening, and you’ll spend the night at your Riad. You can also choose to stay another night at the desert camp if you’d like.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your Riad, we’ll embark on our journey to Fes. Along the way, we’ll make a stop to admire the panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Lunch will be served either in Midelt or at a suitable spot on our route. Keep an eye out for Barbary apes in the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll take a break in Ifrane before continuing our drive to Fes. Your 4 Day Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour will conclude with drop-off at your Riad in Fes.
