Second day of 12 days Morocco tour packages from Tangier to Marrakech, After breakfast, wander through Chefchaouen pretty blue streets. Then we’ll drive to see the old Roman ruins at Volubilis. They’re really old but still look cool, with colorful pictures on the ground and ancient bits and pieces.

Next, we’re off to Meknes, an important city. We’ll see some famous spots like Bab Al-Mansour, the big pool, the royal horse houses, and an old building for storing grain. Lastly, we’ll visit Moulay Ismail’s special burial place.

Finally, we’ll head to Fes, where you’ll stay overnight Riad with breakfast.

After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Fes to dive into the heart of this imperial city, a cultural and religious hub of Morocco.

Our first stop is the Royal Palace gate, a grand entrance showcasing the city’s regal history. From there, we’ll step into the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, marks our entrance into this maze of narrow streets and bustling markets.

With a local guide leading the way, we’ll visit iconic landmarks such as the Medrasa Bouanania, the beautiful Najjarine fountain, the historic Tanneries, and the prestigious Quaraouin mosque and university, believed to be the oldest in the world.

Leaving the Medina behind, we’ll explore the Jewish quarter, known as “the Mellah,” offering insights into Fes’s diverse cultural tapestry.

Our journey continues as we drive to an ancient fortress, treating you to panoramic views of the sprawling Medina and the city of Fes.

After breakfast, our 12 days Morocco itinerary from Tangier takes us southward through Imouzzer. Our first stop is Ifrane, renowned for its chilly climate, snowy landscapes, and charming alpine-style architecture. It’s often dubbed the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and you’ll see why.

Continuing our journey, we venture into the cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques. You’ll have the chance to interact with these playful creatures as you explore the forest.

Next, we’ll make our way to Midelt, where you’ll have some free time for lunch. Then, we’ll traverse the scenic Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, and journey along the Ziz valley, pausing for panoramic photo opportunities.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the majestic Sahara desert of Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to camels for a memorable trek across the sandy dunes. As the sun begins its descent, we’ll pause atop a high dune of Erg Chebbi to witness the mesmerizing sunset.

Finally, we’ll reach our camp, a unique blend of traditional nomadic tents and luxurious amenities. Spend the evening immersing yourself in the enchanting ambiance, with Berber drums music, lively dancing around the campfire, and a sky illuminated by countless stars. Rest well in your comfortable accommodation, surrounded by the tranquility of the Sahara desert.

Wake up early to catch the beautiful sunrise from the closest dune. After a tasty breakfast at the camp, we’ll begin our adventure in the Merzouga desert. Our trusty 4×4 SUV will take us to meet the Berber Nomads living behind the dunes. Learn about their lifestyle and culture as they survive in this remote area. We’ll also visit the deserted village of Miffis, enjoy Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and maybe see the Lake of Birds if it’s full.

After lunch, we’ll head to your Riad for check-in and some free time. Take a swim or stroll to the nearby dunes. Dinner will be served in the evening, and you’ll spend the night at your Riad. You can also choose to stay another night at the desert camp if you’d like.

Witness the sunrise in the Erg Chebbi desert before departing with your vehicle and driver. If you wish, participating in the quad biking activity early in the morning could be a great option.

From the Merzouga desert, we will head to Rissani, a town where the majority of the ancient nomads reside and an important center for its weekly market. We will take a stroll through its souk before continuing our journey through Morocco to explore the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains, where the impressive Todgha Gorges are located. These gorges are the highest in all of Morocco, with walls reaching up to 300 meters in height.

We will also discover the extraordinary palm grove of Tinghir and travel through the Dadès Valley to the nearby village of Aït Larbi, where there are rock formations known as the ‘monkey fingers,’ offering travelers a landscape of spectacular beauty.

Today our 12 days private tour from Tangier to Marrakech through Morocco will follow the ancient caravan routes. We will enjoy exploring the Dadès Valley and the Valley of the Roses, named for its significant cultivation of Damask roses, becoming a source of income for the population. In spring, everything turns pink as villagers harvest the delicate flowers to create various essences and oils.

Continuing on the renowned Thousand Kasbahs route, we will approach the Skoura Valley, where a landscape of palm groves reveals one of the most important Kasbahs, the Amridil Kasbah, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved in the valley. The road leads us to Ouarzazate, the capital of cinema, where we will visit the marvelous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will cross the Tizi’n Tichka mountain pass, the highest in North Africa, at 2260 meters altitude. This pass, meaning ‘difficult mountain pass’ in Tamazight, offers a landscape of great beauty in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, separating the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean coasts from the Sahara Desert.

A full-day sightseeing tour of Marrakech, one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco founded by the Almoravid dynasty at the end of the 12th century. The town is famous for its local crafts, especially beautiful wooden furniture and art sold in the shops along its windy streets.

Arriving around midday, you’ll have free time to explore. Don’t miss the bustling harbor where fishermen sell their catch and even cook it right there. Take a stroll along the coast and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

You’ll spend the night in Essaouira, giving you a chance to fully enjoy its unique charm and relax by the sea.

After breakfast we will drive you out of Essaouira about 20 Km to one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in Morocco called “Sidi Kaouki” to enjoy a half day of swimming and relaxing. We will have a delicious seaside lunch there and later on we will drive back to Marrakech. Overnight with bed and breakfast in your Riad.
