Continuing our odyssey, we’ll reach Taznakhte, a thriving hub for crafting Berber rugs. Our journey unfolds further as we arrive at the awe-inspiring Ait Ben Haddou’s Kasbah, once home to the influential Glaoui family. This remarkable example of Moroccan mud clay architecture has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, attracting filmmakers and featuring in renowned films like “Prince of Persia” and “Gladiator.”
A delightful lunch awaits in the historic kasbah, after which we’ll head to Ouarzazate, often referred to as “Africa’s Hollywood.” Renowned for its unique landscapes, Ouarzazate has lured filmmakers, and you’ll have the chance to explore “The Atlas Studio,” one of Morocco’s largest film studios. Following an enriching studio experience, we’ll escort you to your hotel or riad for a pleasant evening, complete with a delectable dinner. Immerse yourself in the magic of Morocco’s cinematic and cultural treasures on this unforgettable journey.

After breakfast in Ouarzazate, we’ll head towards the Draa Valley, where you’ll get to see one of Morocco’s longest rivers. Along the way, we’ll make stops for photos, giving you a chance to admire the stunning kasbahs and Berber villages that line the route, as well as the beauty of the Draa Valley itself. You’ll have some free time for lunch in N’kob or Alnif.
Then, after about two hours of driving, we’ll arrive at the magnificent Sahara Desert, known for its vast golden sand dunes. Here, you’ll experience the highlight of the day: a camel ride into the heart of the desert, where you can witness the breathtaking sunset from atop the tallest dunes. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even try your hand at sandboarding.
Afterwards, we’ll head back to your desert camp for a delicious dinner served in a traditional Berber tent, under the mesmerizing starry sky. It’s a magical experience that captures the essence of the desert and promises an unforgettable night.

This morning, we’ll pick you up from your Desert camp via Jeep 4X4, offering the ideal mode of transport to explore the Erg Chebbi and the famous sights surrounding Merzouga Sahara. Our Jeep desert tour kicks off with a visit to a nomadic family residing near your camp, providing an authentic glimpse into their traditional lifestyle as we share a cup of tea together.
Continuing our expedition, we’ll venture into the black desert, distinguished by its volcanic stones. Our first stop will be at a mountain offering panoramic vistas, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the black desert’s rugged terrain. Then, we’ll proceed to Mifis Village, an ancient settlement established during the French colonial period and known for its mineral mines where locals still work today.
Our journey unfolds as we head towards Khamlia village, with a stop en route to explore a car museum. Upon arrival in Khamlia, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing rhythms of Gnawa music, performed by local musicians hailing from Sudan, Mali, and other Sub-Saharan regions.
Next, we’ll visit Merzouga Lake, a seasonal oasis that attracts migratory birds during its water-filled months. Depending on the lake’s water levels, we may opt to skip this visit if it’s dry. Additionally, we’ll explore Hassi Labied oasis, a lush garden oasis nestled amidst the dunes, where you’ll learn about traditional irrigation techniques employed by locals to sustain their oasis.
After a day filled with exploration and cultural immersion, we’ll transfer you to your overnight accommodation in a Merzouga riad or hotel. It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures amidst the tranquil desert surroundings of Merzouga.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Dades Valley, we head back to Marrakech. Our first stop is Rose Valley, where you can leisurely explore and enjoy the vibrant rose blooms, especially delightful in late May.
Next, we visit Skoura Oasis, known for its “road of a thousand kasbahs.” Here, you’ll visit the historic Amridil Kasbah, a 17th-century gem and one of Morocco’s most beloved kasbahs. Then, we continue to Ouarzazate.
Traversing the High Atlas mountains, we pause for lunch at a local restaurant before reaching Marrakech. Upon arrival, we drop you off at your accommodation, concluding our memorable journey.

The distance from Merzouga to Marrakech is 560 km, but the journey will be split into two days on the way in, with a night spent in Dades Valley. Then, you’ll spend the day driving to Marrakech.
The Camel ride duration 1 hour , but you will have break in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset .
